The ciliegino of Narni
Ciliegiolo owes its name to the typical cherry aroma. It is a black grape variety, the grapes have a medium skin and fairly early ripening. The harvest takes place between mid and end of September. The vine gives life to elegant wines with good acidity, non-invasive, which can support well over time.
MONTEPULCIANO
Montepulciano is a very adaptable grape variety, which grows well in different types of soil and climate. The nose is intense and complex, with hints of ripe red fruit, spices and tobacco. In the mouth it is warm, soft and harmonious, with soft and well integrated tannins. Montepulciano is a wine that pairs perfectly with red meats, game and mature cheeses.
GRECHETTO
Grechetto is very ancient, dating back to the 7th century, when the Greeks colonized Southern Italy, creating Magna Graecia. It is a white-skinned vine and represents one of the most renowned white grapes in Umbria. I grow the two types of Grechetto, that of Orvieto (clone G109) and that of Todi (clone G5). Grechetto has a good structure and quality aromas, intense and elegant, with fruity notes.
